Isaiah Simmons

 


Isaiah Simmons is an American football player who currently plays linebacker for the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted eighth overall in the 2020 NFL Draft by Arizona. Prior to his professional career, he played college football at Clemson University where he won two national championships and was named a unanimous All-American. 

Simmons is widely regarded as one of the most versatile players in all of college and professional football due to his ability to play multiple positions on defense, including safety, cornerback, outside linebacker and inside linebacker. His combination of speed and athleticism make him a nightmare for opposing offenses as he can cover receivers deep downfield or come up with big hits against running backs near line scrimmage. Additionally, Simmons has great instincts which allow him to read plays quickly before they develop; this makes it difficult for quarterbacks trying target open receivers before being sacked or throwing interceptions into double coverage.
